This has been the theme in our home for the past week! We found a cute little potty chair for Ryn. We got some of the other necessities, princess pull-ups( With a disappearing princess if she gets pottied on:), Winnie the Pooh underpants, LOTS of fun little juice boxes and of course the M&M's. Potty training just doesn't quite seem complete without a little bribery, nothing like buying and spoiling your way to unsoiled goodness.
At first it was a battle royal. I can understand too ,( so can Matt:) the fear of going in some strange place! Eventually Kit started to help her understand that it was a good thing to go in the "potty chair" so she then started to whine and whimper every time she would need to go and started rambling,"potty chair, potty chair!". She eventually learned that it could be a very cool gig. Running around the house "Au natural" sitting on this chair and drinking as much juice as she wanted and with the movie of her choice! She caught on quick!
Our theory as you may have guessed was to get her all juiced up and allow her to recognize the sensation and then where to go next. She was doing great after the first two days but then we had to leave for an extended period of time and I think we broke her rhythm. It was so cute and hilarious to see those little chick-a-booms running around the house, even though she didn't get the chance to use her potty chair today we feel that she has it down! Hooray!

Love the potty chair. Now (or once) she is diaper free she will be a full blown grown-up princess. Because I bet those princesses she meet at Disneyland weren't wearing a diaper. At least I didn't think so, never know.
that's what we keep trying to tell her--all the people she knows and loves that don't wear diapers :) you 2 are on the list, by the way...
